Get Your Prettiest Hands

You can fight the ravages of time and the elements on your hands by remembering to take a few important steps each day:

* Apply moisturizer frequently.
* Wear rubber gloves when hands will be exposed to water or cleansers.
• Wear garden gloves when working outdoors.
• Apply to your hands a natural sunscreen with an SPF of 15 whenever you’re in the sun (sun damage can result in premature aging of the skin, dryness, and dark brown liver spots).

*For an added treat for nails, make this simple Nourish-Your-Nails-Oil that moisturizes nails to maintain their strength and flexibility and prevent brittleness, dry peeling, and cracking.

*20 drops lavender essential oil
*10 drops lemon essential oil
*1 tablespoon almond base oil
*1 tablespoon jojoba base oil
Add the essential oils, drop by drop, directly into a storage bottle. Next, add the base oils. Screw on the bottle’s dropper top, wrap your hands around the bottle, and shake the formula vigorously for two minutes to completely blend all ingredients and warm to body temperature.

Place the bottle in a dark location that’s between 60 and 80F degrees for twenty-four hours so that the oils can synergize.
No refrigeration is required, but for maximum freshness and potency, please use within six months.

Application: Nightly, apply one drop to each nail and massage in with a soft flannel cloth (or your fingers) for approximately one minute per nail.
